Giveaway Rules
These general rules apply to Spooktober and dkcostaa giveaways unless a giveaway announcement includes additional or different terms.
For these rules, "Host" means dkcostaa and the Spooktober Streamathon giveaway administrator identified in the applicable announcement.
No purchase or donation is necessary.
A purchase or donation will not increase your chances of winning.
01 - Eligibility
Who may enter
- Giveaways are open only to individuals who meet the age and location requirements stated in the applicable giveaway announcement.
- Unless otherwise stated, participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry.
- Employees, contractors, moderators, prize providers, collaborators, members of the Host's immediate household, and anyone involved in administering a giveaway may be ineligible.
- Giveaways are void where prohibited or restricted by law.
- Participants are responsible for complying with the laws and platform rules that apply where they live.
02 - Entering
How entry works
Follow the announcement
Each giveaway announcement will identify the entry method, opening and closing times, eligible locations, entry limits, prize, and winner-selection method. All times are Mountain Time unless the announcement says otherwise.
Submit only valid entries
Entries must be complete, truthful, received before the deadline, and submitted through the stated official method. Late, incomplete, deceptive, automated, or misdirected entries are not eligible.
Free means free.
No giveaway entry will require a purchase, charitable donation, paid subscription, Bits, gifted subscription, membership, merchandise order, or payment to claim a prize. Unless expressly stated otherwise, one entry is permitted per person and per applicable platform account.
03 - Social platforms

These rules apply to entries made through any social media, streaming, community, website, or form-based platform used for a giveaway, including but not limited to Twitch, Instagram, X, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Discord, Fourthwall, and Google Forms.
Participants must comply with the terms, community standards, contest policies, and account requirements of every applicable platform. An entry may be disqualified if the account is private when verification is required, cannot be contacted, contains false information, impersonates another person, or violates the applicable platform's rules.
Unless a giveaway announcement expressly states otherwise, the giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Twitch, Instagram, X, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Discord, Fourthwall, Google, or their parent companies. By entering, participants release those platforms from responsibility related to the giveaway.
04 - Fair play
Winner Verification & Disqualification
Winner Verification & Disqualification: All potential winners are subject to verification by the Host, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the giveaway. The Host reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual or account found to be tampering with the entry process, using automated entry scripts or bots, operating multiple dummy accounts, or acting in violation of these Official Rules.
We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all participants and winners. Accounts that appear to be bots, automated scripts, duplicates, or created solely for the purpose of entering giveaways will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the host.
This verification authority applies across all entry sources and social platforms, including but not limited to Twitch, Instagram, X, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Discord, Fourthwall, Google Forms, and any other platform identified in a giveaway announcement. Cross-platform entries may be compared to identify duplicate individuals, duplicate accounts, coordinated manipulation, or attempts to exceed an entry limit.
05 - Winners and prizes
Selection, contact, and fulfillment
Selection
Winners will be selected by random drawing or another method clearly described in the giveaway announcement. For random drawings, the odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Notification
A potential winner must respond through the stated contact method within the time listed in the announcement. Failure to respond, verify eligibility, or provide required delivery information may result in selection of an alternate winner.
Prizes
Prize details, approximate retail value, delivery restrictions, and any substitution terms will be stated in the announcement. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash unless the Host expressly allows it.
You never have to pay to receive a prize.
The Host will not ask a winner to send money, purchase gift cards, provide a password, or pay taxes, shipping, processing, or release fees through a personal payment account. Report suspicious messages to the official contact address below.
06 - Information and responsibility
Privacy, publicity, and administration
Personal information
Entry information will be used to administer the giveaway, verify eligibility, contact potential winners, deliver prizes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. A shipping address or additional verification information should only be requested from a potential winner when needed.
Publicity
Where permitted by law, winners may be identified publicly by their display name, username, or social handle. Any broader use of a winner's name, image, voice, or submitted content will be handled as described in the applicable announcement or a separate permission.
Technical problems
The Host is not responsible for lost entries, outages, platform failures, incorrect account settings, delivery failures, or other technical problems outside the Host's reasonable control.
Changes or cancellation
The Host may modify, suspend, or cancel a giveaway when fraud, technical failure, platform action, legal requirements, or circumstances outside the Host's control prevent fair administration. Material changes will be posted through an official event channel.
Questions or suspicious messages?

Official winner messages will come only from an account identified in the giveaway announcement or from the email address below. Do not send passwords, payment information, or money to anyone claiming that it is required to receive a prize.
